Sally Phillips (born 10 May 1970, in Hong Kong) is a British comedienne who has appeared in many television programmes, such as Fist of Fun (1995), Comedy Nation (BBC 2), I'm Alan Partridge (BBC 2, 1997), Holding the Baby (ITV, 1997), In The Red (BBC 2, 1998), Smack the Pony (C4, 1999), Hippies (BBC, 1999), Rescue Me (BBC, 2002) and Green Wing (C4, 2004). In addition to this, she has also participated in a number of radio programmes including Life, Death & Sex with Mike & Sue, People Like Us, and The Treatment (Radio 5), Clare in the Community for BBC Radio 4, amongst others. She has also been involved with lots of Lee & Herring projects. In 2003, she was listed in The Observer as one of the 50 funniest acts in British comedy.
Sally graduated from New College, Oxford with a 1st class degree in Italian, and her role as a receptionist in I'm Alan Partridge proved to be her big break. She also co-created Smack the Pony, an all-female, double Emmy Award winning comedy show.
Sally is a devout Christian.
