Cllr Dame Sally Powell, DBE is a leading local councillor in Britain for the Labour Party.

Powell, a former dancer with the Sadler's Wells Royal Ballet and a solicitor, became a councillor in 1986. She is Deputy for Regeneration of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. She is Deputy Chair of the Association of London Government and former Vice Chair of the national Local Government Association. Powell is a member of the London Development Agency, Chair of Greater London Enterprise, Deputy Chair of Business Link for London and Vice Chair of the Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA). She has been one of the UK's representatives on the Committee of the Regions.

Powell, as Deputy Leader of the Labour Group on the Local Government Association, is one of two councillor representatives on the Labour Party's National Executive Committee.

Powell is married to Iain Coleman, Member of Parliament for Hammersmith and Fulham.
