Salsa Cubana is a Cuban form of music derived from salsa. Salsa music was created primarily in New York by emigrants from Cuba and other Latin American countries. Cubans re-incorporated salsa into their musical culture, creating salsa Cubana.
Timba is a further development of salsa cubana which includes more hip hop and Caribbean influences.
