Samwah or As Samwah is a town in Iraq, 280 km southeast of Baghdad. The population was 124,400 in 2002 [1] (http://www.library.uu.nl/wesp/populstat/Asia/iraqt.htm).Japan Self-Defense Forces have been stationed there since January,2004.
