Samtse, previously Samchi, is one of the 20 dzongkhag (districts) comprising Bhutan.

I grew up in Samtse...then called Samchi.

Bhutan Central Distilleries where my Jehan Contractor was Managing Director was one of the first Distilleries and the richest source of revenue to the Government of Bhutan for mnay years till it was nationalised in 1980.
