Santacruz Airport is the domestic airport of the city of Mumbai. It is located between Santacruz and Vile Parle in the northern region of the city. It is at an altitude of 27 metres. Flights connecting other cities and towns of India use this airport to pick up and unload passengers. The international airport, Sahar International Airport is further north. The airport has been renamed to Chatrapati Shivaji Domestic Airport. The airport replaced Juhu Airport a few decades back to handle all air traffic. A few years later, Sahar Airport was created to handle international traffic.
