Saponaria - Definition

The Saponaria Officinalis, also known as soapwort, is a perennial herb that originates from Europe and the temperate parts of Asia. It has since been introduced into North America. Part of the Caryophyllaceae family, it's shoots can grow to a height of twelve to 36 inches (30 to 90 cm).
