Saxegothaea is a genus of conifers belonging to the Podocarp family, Podocarpaceae. The genus contains a single species, S. conspicua, commonly known as Prince Albert's Yew (although not a true Yew, Taxus) is a slender, conical evergreen shrub, to 3 meters in height. It is endemic to the Valdivian temperate rain forests of southern Chile and adjacent parts of Argentina, where it is generally found in association with Pilgerodendron uviferum and Fitzroya cupressoides.
