Scarification Scarification

Scarification - Definition and Overview

Scarification is the process of creating body art with scar tissue. The scar tissue is usually created by burns inflicted by a hot metal object, such as a fireplace poker, potato masher, or knife; abrasions, with sandpaper, or power tools, or cuttings. The final result may resemble an inkless tattoo or an abstract design.
