Schilthorn - Definition and Overview

Schilthorn is a 2,970 meter high summit in the Bernese Oberland, Switzerland, above Mürren.

It is a panorama, which spans from the Titlis, Jungfrau, Mönch, Eiger, over the Bernese alps and the Jura mountains up to the Vogesen and the Black Forest.

On top of the Schilthorn

To reach the Schilthorn with the wire ropeway leaves itself starting from Stechelberg, Gimmelwald and Mürren.

The panoramic restaurant Piz Gloria and the slopes of the Schilthorn where the James Bond movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service was set.
