Several universities and colleges have schools devoted to the study of landscape architecture.
- The University of Toronto - Faculty of Architecture Landscape and Design has the "Centre for Landscape Research"; its focus is on the design of urban public space.
- The Agricultural University of Norway, near Oslo has a Department of Landscape Architecture and Spatial Planning; the school is the oldest university programme in landscape architecture in Europe[2] (http://www.nlh.no/?avd=30).
- The University of Greenwich School of Architecture and Construction[4] (http://www.landscape.gre.ac.uk/) has post graduate and undergraduate programmes in landscape architecture, landscape managment and garden design. Landscape architecture teaching began there in 1965.
The University of massachusetts Amherst has acredited programs at the Bachelor's and Masters level in landsape architecture. www.umass.edu/larp
