• The University of Toronto - Faculty of Architecture Landscape and Design has the "Centre for Landscape Research"; its focus is on the design of urban public space.

• The Agricultural University of Norway, near Oslo has a Department of Landscape Architecture and Spatial Planning; the school is the oldest university programme in landscape architecture in Europe[2] (http://www.nlh.no/?avd=30).
