There is more than one common usage for the term scrum:
In rugby football, a scrum is a way to restart the game after an interruption, e.g. after a minor foul.
In management, "scrum" denotes a light-weight management process.
A Canadian term for the situation when public figures, especially politicians, are surrounded by a group of journalists and are asked questions in an impromptu or loosely organized way. This often happens in the corridors of the House of Commons.
