Sebastian Junger is perhaps best known as the author of A Perfect Storm: A True Story of Men Against the Sea. Published in 1998, it recounts the tale of the October 1991 "perfect storm", focusing on the loss of the Gloucester fishing boat Andrea Gail off the coast of Nova Scotia. It was subsequently made into a Warner Brothers motion picture.
Sebastian Junger is also author of Fire (2001) and numerous magazine articles. He was raised in Belmont, Massachusetts and currently resides in New York City.
