Second division - Definition and Overview

In sport, the Second Division is usually the second highest division of a league, and will often have promotion and relegation with divisions above and below.

Examples include:

The Football League Second Division of the English football league system (now only the fourht highest division)
The Scottish League Second Division of the Scottish football league system
The Welsh Football League Second Division of the Welsh football league system
