Secunderbad is the twin city of Hyderabad, India, separated by the man made lake, Hussain Sagar, from the capital of Andhra Pradesh. Secunderabad has a vast Army presence and was first founded in the 18th century as a British cantonment. Named after Sikandar Jah, the third Nizam of the Asaf Jahi dynasty, Secunderabad had it's own municipality and city government, until recently when it was merged in with Hyderabad.
