Sektor is a character in the Mortal Kombat video game franchise.
Sektor is a cybernetic assassin originally under the service of the Chinese clan of ninja known as the Lin Kuei. With access to technology that they felt could make their best warriors even more perfect, the Lin Kuei moved to convert their four best assassins--Cyrax, Smoke, Sub-Zero and Sektor--into cyborg. While Cyrax and Sektor were successfully transformed, Sub-Zero and Smoke rebelled. Smoke was captured and modified while Sub-Zero escaped. Sektor and his fellow cyborgs were sent to hunt down Sub-Zero.
During the invasion of Shao Kahn, Sektor's circuits were corrupted. Subsequently, he returned to the Lin Kuei and defeated the grand master, took his amulet, and became the new leader. After many battles with Shao Kahn's forces, Sub-Zero returned to the Lin Kuei and battled Sektor for leadership. After his defeat, Sektor went to Japan and formed his own organization of ninja warriors, all of which were converted into cyborgs. Sektor's clan grew in size to the point that, with motivation, they could have conquered Japan.
Sektor made a brief appearance in the animated telivision series, . In the first episode, "Kombat Begins Again", Sektor and Cyrax led an attack on Earthrealm that was thwarted by Earth's warriors and Sub-Zero. Sektor had one line of dialogue during his confrontation with Kitana.
