Selina Hakki - Definition

Selina Hakki (born 1967) was the first woman in the UK to be convicted of using the "rape drug" Rohypnol on men.

A jury at Middlesex Guildhall Crown Court reached its verdict in December 2004, finding her guilty of using the drug on Banker Volker Vogler and Film director Alexander Jovy, and of stealing thousands of pounds worth of property from their homes. Hakki declined to give evidence.

It is believed that there were many more victims, but because of the nature of the crimes (Hakki accompanied men, often married, back to their homes with promises of sex), these individuals appear to be reluctant to come forward.
