Serco - Definition

Serco Group plc is an international company with several branches.

The transport branch operates:

• Londons Docklands Light Railway (DLR);
• Manchester Metrolink;
• Copenhagen Metro;
• Adelaide buses; and
• Great Southern Railway in Australia.

It has also formed a joint venture with NedRailways, the international arm of Dutch national rail operator Nederlandse Spoorwegen; they have been granted a concession for 25 years for Merseyrail Liverpool, UK and operate Northern Rail services in the north of England.
