Ali Riza Sergen Yalçın (born May 10, 1972) is a Turkish footballer born in Istanbul, Turkey. He is a midfielder for Beşiktaş. He is noted for the quality of his crossing and ability to hit free-kicks and corners, particularly at long-range free-kicks. He has played most of his career for Beşiktaş. Although there are arguably many better current players in world football, few are as famous. Yalcin is the maverick midfielder of Beşiktaş, capable of turning on the style and bamboozling the most resilient defences almost at will.
Sergen is the only player who played for all of the four biggest clubs in Turkey: Besiktas, Galatasaray, Trabzonspor and Fenerbahçe.
According to most Turkish football authorities, Sergen is among the 5 most talented footballers in the world. However, his night life and overweight he doesn't care, he cannot show his real performance.
