Seven Mile Beach (SMB) is the strip of coast on the west side of Grand Cayman. Although it suffers from seasonal erosion which make parts impassable, the majority is a 50-100 foot wide strip of coral sand stretching from West Bay in the north to George Town in the south.
Most of Grand Cayman's luxury and tourist accommodation are based here, with restaurants and entertainment centers spanning much of its length. Some good snorkelling sites are further north on Cemetary Beach, in the middle of SMB.
