Shangri-La (Knopfler album) - Definition and Overview

Shangri-La is a 2004 album by Mark Knopfler. It continues his recent storytelling style of songwriting. "Boom, Like That", which started receiving airplay in some areas of the US in September 2004, was inspired by Ray Kroc's autobiography "Grinding It Out" and the starting of McDonald's, using many of Mr. Kroc's exact words.

"Song For Sonny Liston" was written about the famous boxer of the same name.
