Shirley Manson - Definition and Overview

Shirley Anne Manson (Born August 3, 1966 in Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom-) is a Scottish musician and model for Calvin Klein. She is lead vocalist for the group Garbage. She is a former member of the bands Angelfish and Goodbye Mr. Mackenzie.

She dropped out of school when she was 16 and was part of many bands before Garbage and part of her high school theatre group. She also had piano lessons at age 7. Her favourite singer is Frank Sinatra. She owns an orange Fender Stratocaster which she named Rita. She has asthma. She has been married since September 7, 1996, to sculptor Eddie Farrel. Her Father is a biology teacher and Mother is a singer. She has one sister, Sara Manson.
