 Simple Plan - Definition

Simple Plan is a Canadian pop punk band composed of five members and born out of a previous Quebecois band called Reset. The band has recently achieved widespread popularity despite receiving little appreciation from critics. They claim that they are just doing what they love and will never stop. On their sophomore release "Still Not Getting Any..." the track "Shut Up" is a response to critics.

"People that hate our band they will never hate me enough to make me stop, they don't phase me. I love what I do so much and they will never stop me from doing it. No matter how loud they scream I will scream louder and I will always be there for the people who love us." - Pierre Bouvier

  • Charles Comeau (Chuck) - Drums
  • Pierre Bouvier - Vocals
  • Jeff Stinco - Lead guitar
  • David Desrosiers - Bass and back vocals
  • Sebastien Lefebvre (Seb) - Guitar and back vocals

Simple Plan was formed in late 1999 and their first album was released in 2002.

Their major success came with their third single off their debut album - "Perfect". The song quickly rose through the charts around the world, and gave Simple Plan plenty of popularity. Another popular single was "Welcome To My Life", which has been described by one rather forward critic as "a steaming pile of aardvark shit."
