Sita Ram Goel (सीता राम गोयल) (1921 - 2003), author and publisher, is an important figure amongst late 20th century Hindu thinkers. Together with Ram Swarup he kept the flame of Hindu critique burning during the socialist years of Nehru.

Proud of his Vedic heritage, he started as a poet, became a novelist, and ended as a commentator on Christianity, Islam, and Communism in the Indian context.

Like most bitter critics of communism Sitaram Goel had strong communist leanings during his student days and was on the verge of joining the Communist Party of India in 1948. He later came under Ram Swarup's influence who converted him out of communism. Ram Swarup became his ideological mentor and strongly influenced his views on Communism, Islam and Christianity.

Sitaram Goel is the author of various tracts in defense of Hinduism and Hindu society. In these works he claimed that Hindu society is facing a relentless ideological and physical attack from its enemies namely Islam, Christianity and Marxism and that they had been sucessful in potraying Hindu Society as instrinsically oppressive and exploitative. He sought to set record straight by putting forth before the public the "correct" information about Hindu society.
