Sky Mix (launched and branded as Sky One Mix until September 21 2004) is a United Kingdom satellite television channel run by British Sky Broadcasting. A supplimentary channel for Sky One, Sky Mix shows repeats of programmes aired on that channel, timeshifted from their original broadcast. This is a common method amongst UK television channels, allowing viewers to catch shows they may have missed on first-run. However, unlike other channels - such as Living TV - which operate a +1 system (whereby an auxiliary channel runs one hour behind the main channel), Sky Mix has a separate schedule. Its on-screen identity is loosely based on that used by Sky One at the time of Mix's launch, but using a yellow-and-black colour scheme instead of orange-and-black. The channel is broadcast on Sky Digital and NTL digital cable.
