When designing very tall buildings supplying enough elevators is a problem. One approach, first used in the World Trade Center was the skylobby. Skylobbies are intermediate floors where people can change from an express elevator that only stops at the skylobbies, to a local elevator, that stops at every floor, but only within a segment of the building.
