Snubber Snubber

Snubber - Definition and Overview

A snubber is a small electrical circuit used to suppress ("snub") electrical transients. Frequently, a snubber can be as simple as a small capacitor in series with a small resistor. This combination is frequently used to suppress the rapid rise in voltage across a thyristor, preventing false turn-on of the thyristor.
