The Sognefjord Span is World's second longest span of a powerline with a width of 4597 metres. It is located at Sognefjorden in Norway. The pylons at the end of Sognefjord Span are not higher than normal pylons, because Sognefjorden is a deep valley. In order to avoid any approaches or contacts between the lines each conductor is hung up on a separate pylon, which is built as steel framework tower.
