In astrology, the Solar Age is identified with the constellation of the zodiac that contains the Sun at the moment of the vernal equinox. This location describes a slow apparent circle through the sky due to the precession of the equinoxes, with each age lasting, on average, one-twelfth of the complete rotation, or approximately 2,100 years.
The current Age of Pisces, which started around 150 BC, depending on where along the ecliptic the division between the constellations of Aquarius and Pisces is set, is due to end around 2600, when the apparent point of the vernal equinox crosses the dividing line into the constellation of Aquarius. The Age of Pisces will then be replaced by the Age of Aquarius.
