Something Wild (movie) - Definition and Overview

Something Wild is a comedy/action movie released in 1986. It was directed by Jonathan Demme and starred Jeff Daniels, Melanie Griffith, and Ray Liotta.

A straightlaced banker (played by Daniels) meets a sexy wild child (played by Griffith) for a series of small adventures. Though he initially protests, he finds that her free-wheeling lifestyle adds the spark that has been missing in his life. The movie takes a dark turn when her violent ex-convict husband (played by Liotta) shows up and wants her back.
