Sremska Kamenica is town near river Danube, part of the agglomeration of Novi Sad in Serbia and Montenegro (population 11,140 in 2002).
Sremska Kamenica was first time mentioned in the historical documents in 1237. Since then, the town was under Hungarian, Ottoman and Austrian rule. In 1918, the town became part of Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes.
