St John's Wood is a place in the City of Westminster in London near Regent's Park. Once part of the Great Middlesex Forest, it was later owned by the Knights of St John of Jerusalem. It is the location of Lords Cricket Ground, home of the MCC and original headquarters of the sport. It is also famous for Abbey Road Studios, where the Beatles recorded many records, notably Abbey Road, the cover of which features the band crossing the road.
