Stavropol (Ста́врополь) is a city located in southwestern Russia. It is the administrative center of Stavropol Krai.

Stavropol was founded in 1777 as a military encampment. It was designated as a city in 1785. It was renamed to Voroshilovsk in 1935, and returned to its old name in 1943.
