Steel Pier is a musical written by the songwriting team of Kander and Ebb. It opened on Broadway on April 24, 1998 and closed on June 28, 1998, playing just 76 performances (plus 33 previews). It starred Karen Ziemba, Daniel McDonald, Gregory Harrison, Debra Monk, and Kristin Chenoweth. It received eleven Tony nominations but did not win any Tony awards.
The play is set at a dance marathon in Atlantic City in 1933. A stunt pilot falls in love with a woman dancing at the marathon.
