Steve Hofmeyr, a South African singer, songwriter and actor born on 29 August1962. After Steve matriculated in 1982 at Grey College he did 2 years compulsory Army and Border duty then went to Pretoria Technikon Drama School. Steve married Natasha Sutherland in 1998 and have a son Sebastian, born 13 Dec. 2001.
In 1997 he broke onto the international music scene when he recorded the duet You Dont Bring Me Flowers with Belgian superstar Dana Winner for his album True to You. This track was also recorded in Flemish and charted in Belgium at No 2 on the Top 100. Dana and Steve performed together on stage to sold out shows in both Belgium and South Africa. One of his self-penned songs is currently a hit for her in Europe.
He toured South Africa in 2001 with Beautiful Noise the story and music of Neil Diamond and the release of his new CD with the same title. The tour was a success with 224 sold out concerts.
