Steven van Zandt (born November 22, 1950 in Boston, Massachusetts) is one of the founding members of Bruce Springsteen's E-Street Band and plays guitar and mandolin. In addition he is an accomplished songwriter. He is also known as Little Steven or Miami Steve.
He left the E-Street Band in 1984 and has been involved in numerous musical collaborations since then. He returned to the band in 2002 to help Springsteen record The Rising.
In 1999 he took an acting role in the television drama The Sopranos playing Silvio Dante.
He also hosts Little Steven's Underground Garage, a syndicated radio show.
