Stockholm Stock Exchange Building - Definition and Overview |
|
The Stock Exchange Building, seen from the south
The Stock Exchange Building, or Börshuset, in the Old town of Stockholm Sweden is a building that was originally erected for, and is still owned by, the Swedish Academy. The Academy uses the building for its meetings, such as those at which it selects - and announces the name of - the recipient of the Nobel Prize for Literature. It is, however, more closely identified with and colloquially referred to by the name of its tenant: the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
The building also houses the Nobel Prize Museum.
