Strongbow is a brand of cider originating in England, but now available all around the world. It is manufactured by the company Bulmers.
The alcoholic strength of Strongbow Cider is 5.3% vol (10.6 proof).
Strongbow is named after the Norman knight, Richard de Clare, later Earl of Pembroke, who was nicknamed Strongbow by his troops for his feats of strength and prowess with the Longbow. The thudding arrow has been a feature of the brands television advertising since the 1960s.
