Stuart Hall (television presenter) - Definition

Stuart Hall (born December 25, 1929) is a BBC radio and television presenter.

Hall was born at Ashton-under-Lyne, near Manchester, England, and was educated at Glossop grammar school, where he was very involved in sport. This led to his becoming a sports journalist as well as a newsreader for BBC North. As presenter of "North West Tonight", he became familiar to viewers throughout the north of England.

Hall became particularly well-known, however, during the 1970s as the presenter of It's a Knockout and its European equivalent, Jeux Sans Frontieres. During the programme, Hall would often be carried away by the slapstick humour of the competition and become incoherent with laughter. This led to his becoming a popular subject for impersonation. He is also one of the most well known Manchester City loving pundits around.
