Sun Yet-sen University or Zhongshan University (中山大学, pinyin: Zhōngshān Dàxué) is a prominent university in Guangdong, China. It consists of 4 campuses (South Campus, North Campus, East Campus and Zhuhai Campus) with a total area of 6.17 square kilometers. Three of the four campuses are located in Guangzhou while one in Zhuhai. Sun Yet-sen University was founded in 1924 by Dr. Sun Yat-sen, with the motto of "Study extensively; Enquire accurately; Reflect carefully; Discriminate clearly; Practise earnestly.(博学,审问,慎思,明辨,笃行)"

2004 sees the 80th anniversary of Zhongshan University.
