Svenska Dagbladet or SvD is a daily newspaper in Sweden. It is published in Stockholm and covers national and international news and commentary as well as the local coverage of the Greater Stockholm region. Its subscribers are concentrated in the capital. Svenska Dagbladet has the third largest circulation (170,000 in 2003) after Dagens Nyheter. and Göteborgs-Posten. The stated position of the editorial page is independently moderate (liberal-conservative).
The first issue was published on 18 December, 1884.
Besides news and editorials it also features daily verses by Kajenn and comic strips by Jan Berglin.
