Syosset High School - Definition and Overview

Syosset High School is the only High School for residents of the Syosset Central School District. Syosset High School was named a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. It is seen as a model for other schools around the country. Notable alumni include Elaine Chao, Natalie Portman, Stephen Yau, and Alan Blinder.

Syosset High School is known for its award winning publications, The Pulse and Ken. Its Forensics Team is nationally ranked as is its Mock United Nations Team.

Syosset High School has a very wide array of courses including many AP and Syracuse University Project Advanced Courses. It is the only school on Long Island to give a Russian Regents. Japanese and Latin also have multi-year programs.

Syosset High School has a long-standing rivalry with neighboring Jericho High School.
