TRS-80 is the name of a Chicago-based electronica group, noted for their live performances which are a blend of live playing, and video projections synchronized with their music. They describe themselves as being an "experimental trip-hop ambient dub drum n' bass" group, with "heavy hip-hop beats, and warm analog synths", and are often compared to Boards of Canada, Autechre, and Aphex Twin.
Founded in 1997, they are currently signed to independent record label File-13, and have released their fourth studio album, entitled "Shake Hands With Danger".
