TV5 is a global television network, broadcasting several channels of French language programming. It was started in January 1984. It is currently under the management of Serge Adda.
Most of the content is taken from mainstream networks in the French-speaking world, notably TF1 and France 2 from France, RTBF from Belgium, TSR from Switzerland, and SRC and TVA networks in Quebec, Canada. In addition to international news, TV5 broadcasts movies and music magazines. The number 5 in the name is the count of the founding networks.
