Taiping (also Itu Aba) is an island in the South China Sea controlled by the Republic of China on Taiwan.


Taiping is a city in Taichung County in Taiwan. See Taiping City.


Taiping is a town located in the state of Perak in Malaysia.

Formerly, it was known as Klian Pauh. At the end of the Larut War in 1874, it was renamed to Taiping, which translates to Peace in Chinese.

Taiping was the administration center of the state of Perak until 1930s, before Ipoh is selected as the seat of government.
