The cave at Ama-no-Iwato Shrine Takachiho (高千穂町; -chō) is a town located in Nishiusuki District, Miyazaki, Japan.
As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 15,303 and the density of 64.48 persons per km². The total area is 237.32 km².
The Ama-no-Iwato Shrine in Takachiho is, by tradition, the location of the cave where according to Japanese mythology the goddess Amaterasu hid until Ama-no-Uzume lured her out.
