The Tatar relation is a two volume set describing missionary accounts (or crusades) in Asia between 1245-47. Sometimes Tatar relation refers to the first volume, and the second Speculum Historiale. It is perhaps most known because the first volume contains a map showing North America, by some considered beeing a forgery, but the rest of the relation is genuine.
