Personal income tax
This is a list of income tax rates around the world, including only those collected by national government. Provincial, state, and local government may impose additional income taxes which are not included in the rates listed below. The overall tax burden levied on individuals may also include value added (a.k.a purchase) taxes; poll taxes (i.e. a tax per head of population), and property taxes (e.g. "rates").
- Australia - A graduated rate between 0% and 48.5%
- Canada - A graduated rate between 16% and 29%
- Estonia - A flat rate of 27%
- Hong Kong - from 0% to 16%

Company income tax
- Australian: Federal 30%. ^
- Canada: federal 23%, provincial average 12%
- Hong Kong: (profit tax) 16.5%
- Romania: central 25%
- Sweden: central 28%, average state 0%
- United States: federal 35%, average state 4%
^ Indicates that a personal income tax credit is given to individuals receiving post tax profit distributed from a company.
