Her full name and title is Te Arikinui Dame Te Atairangikaahu.
The office of Maori Queen holds no constitutional function, but the Te Atairangi Kaahu is an avid supporter of cultural and sporting events and commonly appears in a figurehead role at locally held, international political events involving First Nation issues.
