Tedy Bruschi - Definition and Overview

Tedy Bruschi (born June 9, 1973 in San Francisco) is an American football player. He has been a middle linebacker for the NFL's New England Patriots since 1996. He recently extended his contract with the Patriots through 2007.

Bruschi played high school football at Roseville High School in Roseville, California. He played college football at the University of Arizona. He was taken by the Patriots in the 3rd round (25th pick) of the 1996 NFL draft.

Bruschi has a knack for intercepting passes and taking them to the end zone. Last year, he had 3 picks, 2 of which went for touchdowns. As of 2004, in his career with New England, he has 428 tackles, 21.5 sacks, and 8 interceptions, 4 of which have gone for touchdowns.
